ABOUT

Cynthia began practicing interior design at the young age of ten, when she'd spend hours sketching floor plans and furniture arrangements for a vast array of very important, very imaginary clients.

Many years later, Cynthia launched her interior design career in New York at the high-end residential design firm, MAC II, where she honed her vision for mixing antiques with clean lined, modern pieces. She then moved to Rockwell Group, an award winning commercial design firm renowned for designing theatrical restaurants and hotels around the globe. While at Rockwell, Cynthia helped design everything from Manhattan hotspots like The W Hotel in Union Square and Todd English's restaurant, Olives, to David Rockwell's baby nursery in his New York apartment.

She founded Cynthia Brooks Design LLC in 2001, driven by a passion to create inspirational spaces in people's lives. Cynthia believes that your space at home is a reflection of  you: your home shapes your outlook on life, so this space needs to inspire you everyday. Every project is tailored to a clients personal narrative, and she works closely with each client to bring their stories to life in a way that reflects their individual styles. Whether it's sleek, modern lines in a Manhattan penthouse or vibrant, fresh fabrics in a Pennsylvania fieldstone, Cynthia ensures that every detail is unique and that every story is compelling.

Cynthia holds a B.A. in Art History from Davidson College in Charlotte, North Carolina, and a B.A. in Interior Design from The American College in Atlanta, Georgia. When Cynthia is not picking out fabrics or shopping for furniture, she is in her own inspirational space, creating memories with her family.
